Winter holidays are here!

Why do I love holidays even though I love my job? I mean, my job is great! I really love what I am doing.  But I always seem to look forward to the holidays??? Now could someone explain that to me?

Anyways, I am off to Pushkar for a day...its supposed to be a weird place...a melting pot of people from all over the place who come seeking for spiritual fulfillment in the desert. Not that I am going there for any of that...thank God for Jesus! Just thought that I'd drive down on the bullet with a friend and check out the action. Its my first motorcycle trip and one that I have really been looking forward to! (For those of you who don't know I have been driving a friend's Royal Enfield (Bullet) Machismo '99 model for the last few months. I still haven't bought my own bike but plan to have one by January).

Basically Pushkar is suposed to be a hotspot in winter (pun unintended) which draws in the crowds. Besides, you get some really great bargains from the tourists (mainly hippies who are sometimes desperate to pawn off their stuff for some extra cash):-) You bet I am carrying my debit card!

So see you in the New Year!

5 lessons to learn from a pencil

Received in an SMS

1. Everything you do leaves a mark.

2. You can correct your mistakes.

3. What's inside of you is more important than what's on the outside.

4. You will undergo painful sharpenings in life which will make you better in what you do.

5. To be the best allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that hold you.

What is sin

Received in an SMS

Anything that weakens my conscience,

Anything that takes away th tenderness of my heart,

Anything that takes away the relish of spiritual things,

Anything that takes away the sense of God in my life....

to me is sin.

Why I like money for my birthday...

Milton Friedman once said

"If you spend your own money on yourself,
you care how much you spend and how well you spend it.

If you spend your own money on someone else, you care how much you spend, but you don't care how well it is spent.

If you spend someone else's money on yourself, you don't care how much you spend, but you do care how well it is spent.

And finally, if you spend someone else's money on someone else, you don't care how much you spend, and you don't care how well it is spent. That is government.

Not that it isn't possible to buy someone a good present....just that I don't think any one can anticipate just what a person needs better than that person himself.

Success redefined!

At age   4 success is . . . not peeing in your pants.
At age 12 success is . . . having friends.
At age 17 success is . . . having a drivers license.
At age 35 success is . . . having money.
At age 50 success is . . . having money.
At age 70 success is . . . having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is . . . having friends.
At age 80 success is . . . not peeing in your pants.
