Burglar funny

George was going up to bed when his wife told

him that he'd left the light on in the garden

shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.
George opened the back door to go turn off the
light but saw that there were people in the shed
stealing things. He phoned the police, who asked
"Is someone in your house?" and he said no.
Then they said that all patrols were busy,
and that he should simply lock his door and an
officer would be along when available.
George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30,
  and phoned the police again.
"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago
because there were people in my shed.
Well, you don't have to worry about them now
cause I've just shot them all." Then he hung up.
Within five minutes three police cars,
an Armed Response unit, and an ambulance
  showed up at George's residence.
Of course, the police caught the burglars
red-handed. One of the policemen said to George:
"I thought you said that you'd shot them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was
  nobody available!"

In the mail today

HUSBAND: When I get mad at you, you never fight back. How do you
control your anger?

WIFE: I clean the toilet.

HUSBAND: How does that help?

WIFE: I use your toothbrush.

Building my own PC

I am planning to build my own PC. Ever since I got interested in computers I have had this dream of being able to build a computer if my own- its like a mechanical bug inside of me wanting to express its creativity.

Well I am finally getting down to it. I have been able to find a couple of very helpful online manuals. Yesterday I got a case and managed to find someone who would sell me a second hand monitor, keyboard and mouse. I intend to use as many good condition secondhand outer parts as possible so that I can spend my limited resources on the important inside components.

Any help on the project would be welcome.

While browsing the net today searching for stuff for my computer I happened to come across this site which I think is hilarious. Make sure you read it to the end!

Thanks Doug!

A friend gave me a book at the end of last year. I think books are really great presents to give someone, after money ofcourse ;-) (check my previous post if you didn't get it) . But this book has been a great blessing in my life. It's a daily devotional from Oswald Chambers titled 'My utmost for His Highest'. This guy is deep. Reading his stuff gives you a sense of his relationship with Christ and makes you hungry for more. I shall be posting subsequently a few quotes from it.

"The measure of the worth of our public activity for God is the private profound communion we have with Him".

Awesome bike ride

Well the trip to Pushkar was great. Travelling on the highway at 80-90 kmph on the bike was an awesome experience. I thought I had pushed the bike to its limits. But then yesterday I went to meet a biker who was going to show me some bikes for sale. He has a Royal Enfield Standard '85 Model. The bike is in fabulous condition-smooooth.

He asked me to sit on the rear mudguard while he took me for a spin. Oh boy! what a ride! Right from the time we started till he deposited me safely outside his house I don't think I stopped praying! That guy was weaving through traffic like like  a videogame junkie on steroids! It really felt like some of those videogames I see my brother playing only this was real! He took the turns at 45 degrees (we nearly slipped once because I shifted!) My eys were streaming tears...whether from fear or exhilaration I have yet to figure out.

I don't think I will ever be able to drive that way or would want to sit behind someone who did. But it was one of those experiences that you would never undergo if you understood fully what was involved but after you have had it you are proud that you lasted through it!

After that we went to see some vintage bikes...47, 54, 60 BSA and 55, 64 Royal Enfield (obviously not the ones for sale).

All in all a pretty rewarding day.
